Aberdeen Sets Halloween Curfew

A proclamation delivered at Tuesday's council meeting sets a curfew for Oct. 30 and Oct. 31

The Aberdeen Township Council set a curfew for both Halloween and Oct. 30, which is often referred to as Mischief Night.

According to the proclamation delivered at the council meeting Tuesday, Oct. 18, residents should have enjoy Halloween with their children while being assured that their "properties and well being are protected."

The curfew extends to all children under the age of 17, and is in effect from 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on both Oct. 30 and Oct. 31.

"This curfew is subject in every other way to the provisions of enforcement contained in the adopted and amended curfew ordinance," the proclamation reads.
