Aberdeen Man Injured in Lloyd Road Accident

Driver struck a utility pole and two street signs, police say

One person was injured after a motor vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Lloyd Road and Line Road in Aberdeen, Aberdeen Township Police said.

According to police, a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, operated by Nicholas C. Conti, 57, of Aberdeen, was travelling west on Lloyd Road when it struck a curb, left the roadway and struck two sign posts and a utility pole.

Aberdeen police responded to the July 19 accident at 4:13 PM. Aberdeen Hose and Chemical Company # 1 also responded for extrication.

Conti was transported to Bayshore Community Hospital by Keyport First Aid Squad for a head injury.

He was issued summonses for careless driving, unlicensed driver and failure to maintain lane. Police Officer Michael Plant investigated the accident.
