“We thought it was a nice spot on the map and had good exposure because it was close to the train station,” Freedman said of the company's decision to purchase the property. “It’s an underserved market.”

General Plumbing Supply is based in Bayonne and serves contractors with a variety of plumbing, heating and cooling products, Freedman explained. Eight of their locations in New Jersey also have showrooms open to the general public, including their newest location in Matawan.

The showroom offers everything needed to remodel a kitchen or bathroom except tiles, Freedman said. They carry products from American Standard, Toto and Koeler.

The General Plumbing Supply kitchen and bath showroom is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with free parking next to the entrance off of Railroad Plaza.
