BB King's Rib Rock Festival Comes to Holmdel's PNC Arts Center This Sunday

Amazing food and amazing music will feed you, body and soul. Show starts at 3:00 pm on August 28.

Get ready for a mouthwatering concert that will fill your belly and blow your mind. BB King’s Rib Rock Festival arrives at PNC Bank Arts Center this Sunday, August 28. With music and food at every corner of the venue, all of your senses will be satisfied.

Come With Open Ears

Arrive on Sunday and expect nothing but the best of local and national Blues music. Local artists, Rock It Live, Dusty Gray, Sidewinder, and local legend, Matt O’Ree, perform on the Festival Stage, which starts at 3:00 pm.

Following the Festival Stage are three artists who need no introduction: Gary Clarke Jr., J. Geils Band, and the King of the Blues himself, BB King.

Rib Rock is much more than your typical BB King concert. Your day is filled with tons of Southern BBQ style food. In between acts, Chef James Conroy, from QVC, will be demonstrating “low and slow” BBQ techniques, featuring chef interviews, contests and activities.

In addition to the food, hungry concert goers with get to sample BBQ from Chop Shop BBQ, Local Smoke, and Chef George & Brother Joe's Baaah Bee Que.  Seven-time New York State BBQ champion Big Belly BBQ from Hamburg, NY and Desperadoes Barbecue from Angola, NY will be serving up their specialties. Jersey Johnny’s Grill, Mother Shucker’s roasted sweet corn, and King Daddy Burgers will also be offering up their fare. 

Local Smoke’s competition team, Fat Angel BBQ, recently won its third Grand Championship in three years at the New Jersey State BBQ Championship in Wildwood, NJ, dominating the field of 66 teams with first place awards in both chicken and brisket and a fourth place in ribs and pork.  Both Chop Shop and Local Smoke were big winners in the 2010 BBQ and Brews fest at Monmouth Park.
