Where Are the Worst Potholes in Matawan, Aberdeen?

Which roads in the area bore the brunt of the harsh winter?

By Tom Davis

It's been a rough winter, no one's questioning that.

From snow days at school to salt shortages throughout the state, towns have had to deal with the inclement weather on a daily basis, Matawan and Aberdeen included.

With the heavy snow and ice accumulations over the past couple of months, roads may have suffered the most, as small cracks in the pavement a few weeks ago have become tire-busting craters nearly impossible to avoid.

Each town has its share of notoriously bad potholes drivers try to avoid for fear of a blowout, or even worse.

Which roads have the worst potholes in Matawan and Aberdeen? Let us know in the comments.

Corner of Deerfield and Darwin. It's not one pothole, but the entire intersection that's in need of repair.

The intersection of Lower Main and Cliffview by the Auto Parts Store. They are huge and I hit them leaving my block daily!

Irongate Lane & Inner Way. I know it's a tertiary street, but I've been living here for 20 years and it hasn't been paved once.
