Sweet Sadie is Looking for a Forever Home

She was rescued with her puppies from a gas shelter in Kentucky and is now in New Jersey looking for a loving home.

Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue (CODAR) is an Aberdeen-based, non-profit canine rescue group that takes in dogs from high-kill shelters and puppy mills along the east coast and works to find them any necessary medical attention, foster care and a forever home.

This week CODAR has sent Patch a bunch of dogs looking for a permanent, loving home. If you are interested in adopting any of the animals in the slideshow, fill out the application online at www.castle-of-dreams.com.

Sadie

Sadie is a young lab mix who was rescued from a Kentucky gas shelter where she was dumped with her four little ones. Castle of Dreams rescued the whole family and they will be coming here to find their forever homes. Sadie is very sweet, a perfect size dog, and a little shy but will be able to overcome that with some love and attention.

Fuzzy

Fuzzy the Pomeranian is a young adult male who is neutered. He warms up to new environments and people slowly but once he gets to know you he is fine. Fuzzy is crate trained and is doing well with housebreaking. He is great with other dogs and loves people, although he is cautious of new people. Fuzzy is very calm and loving. He was used for breeding in a puppy mill then dumped in a shelter by heartless breeders. He was very scared at the shelter, but is doing great in his foster home.

Oreo, Bella, Abby & Fluffer-Nutter

Oreo, Bella, Abby and Fluffer-Nutter were dumped in a gas shelter in North Carolina. When Castle of Dreams heard about their plight they sprang into action to rescue these little pups and bring them to New Jersey to find their forever homes. These little puppies are playful and sweet and would make a great family pet.

Two Boston Terriers

Castle of Dreams has two Boston Terriers surrendered from a breeder who chose to release them to COD so we can find them forever homes. One is about one year old, and the other is under five years old. They will be spayed and fully vetted this week and will be ready for a family to love them forever.

Snowy

Snowy has a very sweet temperament. A senior, Snowy still loves his time outside but does like to sleep a lot at home. He doesn't bark or make any trouble. He wants to be fed and let out and he just wants to know that someone is there. Then he goes to his spot and rests or sleeps. He is 10 years old.

Zoey

Zoey is a young Shih Tzu who was rescued from a shelter in Maryland while pregant with puppies. She had her puppies and then was spayed and adopted. Although Zoey is doing well with her adoptive family's toddler (she loves wagon rides and cuddling) the family's two older male dogs are too territorial for Zoey. Zoey is truly sweet and loving and doesn't have a mean bone in her body and she deserves to live out her life in a good home where she can get a lot of attention.

Buddy

Buddy is a two year old male looks to be Shepherd/Beagle mix. Buddy has lived with young children. He also is housebroken and likes other dogs and cats. He is not neutered.
