The Garden State Arts Center Foundation offers free tickets to daytime performances of a handful of shows each year at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel.

The Texas Tenors, The Letterman and the Cameos & The Duprees were offered in May and June. The next free shows for seniors will occur in September. They are:

DRINKIN, SINGIN & SWINGIN'
Tribute to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Jr., on Wednesday, September 10 at 1:30 p.m.

TONY ORLANDO, Wednesday, September 17 at 1:30 p.m.

According to information on GSAFoundation.org, in order to obtain tickets, seniors must be on the mailing list. To get on the list, you must be 55 years of age or older and send proof of age to:

Garden State Arts Foundation, Inc.
P.O. Box 5013
Woodbridge, NJ 07095-5013

If you do not have a ticket, you may enter the theater at 1 pm on the day of the show, but will not be guaranteed a seat, say organizers. So you are adviced to come prepared with a lawn chair and sun block.

There is a pattern here. The free shows are for either washed up old recording artists or for impersonators of dead singers. I'll pass as well.
