Saturday, Sept. 10 marked Aberdeen Day 2011, and despite a few showers of rain, hundreds of residents from Aberdeen and surrounding communities were in attendance.
Children enjoyed free carnival rides, a video game truck, two clowns, balloons and free popcorn. Local restaurants sold food and local businesses and vendors set up tables.
The rain ended the event a little earlier than planned, but not before the Next Level Dance team and a cover band performed.
