Outdoor Festivals to 'Fall' For
Many area towns are celebrating their municipalities with a day of food, rides and fun.
Even though has come and gone, there are a number of other “days” and festivals to celebrate throughout Monmouth County this fall - including Matawan Day on Oct. 15. Take advantage of the fresh air and sunny days as much as you can before that first imminent snowstorm arrives!
When: Sunday, Sept. 18 (rain date Sept. 25) from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Marlboro Township Municipal Complex - 1979 Township Dr., Marlboro

What: Crafters, vendors (including Patch!), free rides, food, entertainment (no pets or alcohol allowed)
Millstone DayWhen: Sunday, Sept. 18 (rain or shine) noon to 5 p.m.

Where: Frogbridge Day Camp - 7 Yellow Meetinghouse Rd., Millstone Township
What: Live music, great food, games, activities and an antique car display
When: Saturday, Sept. 24 (rain date Sunday, Sept. 25) noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Oak Glen Park - 275 Old Tavern Rd., Howell
What: Food, free rides, ponies, music, and vendors. John Eddie performs from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Shuttle busses will be available at Aldrich Park and Ride, Middle School North and Howell High School.
Old Bridge DayWhen: Saturday, Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Old Bridge Municipal Complex - 1 Old Bridge Plaza, Old Bridge
What: Vendors, crafts, traditional fair food, fun amusements for children, live entertainment by Kaotic Control
Matawan DayWhen: Saturday, Oct. 15 (rain date Sunday, Oct. 16) from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Main St. in Matawan from the Matawan-Abderdeen Public Library up until La Riviera
What: Entertainment, food, local vendors and businesses (including Patch!), free rides, and Idol singing contest.
