Monmouth County Parks January Activities

January fun in our backyards.

Winter doesn't stop the Monmouth County Parks System from having some fun. Below are the schedule activities around the county for the whole family. 

Open Ceramics 

Sunday, Jan. 6 from 12:30-4:30 p.m.
Creative Arts Center,

Glaze and make your own pre-made pottery, which will be fired about a week after the event. The cost is $6 per hour plus price of bisque-ware; cash or check only. Pieces will be fired in about a week.

Art Exhibit: Ephemeral & Enduring - Deep Cut Gardens Through the Seasons  

Monday-Saturday, Jan. 7-31 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Deep Cut Gardens, Middletown

Roving Park System Naturalist

Saturday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m.
Huber Woods Park, Middletown (meet at Environmental Center parking lot)
Sunday, Jan, 27 at 9 a.m.
Hartshorne Woods Park, Middletown (meet at Rocky Point entrance)

Walk and learn about points of interest in the park with park experts. The walking group is free and newcomers are encouraged.

Krafty Kids Drop-In

Wednesday, Jan, 16 from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Tatum Park Red Hill Activity Center, Middletown
Thursday, Jan. 17 from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Thompson Park Visitor Center, Lincroft

Designed for ages 4 and up with an adult, kids are invited to create a craft to take home. This weekend's craft is a "News(paper) Years Project." The cost is $5 per person; cash or check only.
