Help Clean Up Main Street in Matawan Saturday

The Matawan Recreation Department is hosting a downtown cleanup this weekend.

Spruce up Main Street in Matawan this weekend by pitching in a helping hand with the Matawan Department of Recreation.

According to Recreation Director Deirdre Ring, the borough is hosting a downtown cleanup to kick off the nice weather. Volunteers will be pruning and planting the flower pots the line the streets.

"Many people ask what they can do to get involved within town. This is the perfect opportunity to pitch in to help us beautify Main Street by cleaning up and planting flowers in the flower pots," Ring said. "It provides an opportunity for residents to come out and lend a hand while getting to know some of our volunteers, and providing a vital service to the community."
