Long-time business owner and community leader Gigi from Jakeabob’s Bay is holding a legal seminar to assist Union Beach, NJ residents with their delayed, denied, and low ball insurance offers for their home in Union Beach. “ Union Beach needs to fight back. I am so sick of Union Beach and Bay Shore Area residents getting low ball offers. Everyday, I hear about the ills of the insurance industry. We have a great community that needs to re-build but we need the insurance money to rebuild. We are a blue collar town that was devastated by the storm. Currently, another 150 homes are being demolished and only 40% of the town is back because people are displaced. Many people are wondering when is the insurance company money going to come through? Many people are being offered low ball offers and now they have a mortgage to pay. We need help now. That is why I have retained Ellis, Ged & Bodden and I have agreed to host a seminar for other residents of the Bayshore Area,” Gigi states.

Since Hurricane Sandy struck the Northeast coastline, over 400 homes have been destroyed in Union Beach and thousands along the Jersey Shore, leaving many homeowners displaced and sparking a battle between insurance companies and homeowners over policy claims. C. Glen Ged founding partner, whose home was also destroyed will be presenting at the seminar. “ C. Glen Ged states “This is personal for me as I am a New Jersey native. I want to see the Jersey Shore rebuilt. The people need their insurance money to rebuild and not insurance games to restore the shore. Many people do not know that they have only one year after Hurricane Sandy to file their claims and go after their insurance company. People must ACT NOW if they want justice after Sandy.” According to the NJ statutes of limitations the deadline to file a Hurricane Sandy related claim is October 29, 2013.
