Matawan's Yliana Chacon-Forte to be honored by YWCA Tribute to Women and Industry on May 8

 Matawan resident Yliana Chacon-Forte, CPA will be among 51 women to be honored at the 35th Annual Tribute to Women and Industry Awards Dinner, sponsored by YWCA Union County at the Bridgewater Marriott Hotel on May 8th.  She serves as Procurement Indirects and Services Group Leader at Infineum USA L.P. in Linden.

Ms. Chacon-Forte currently leads the UK and US Indirects and Services groups covering corporate and  technology services,  and plant MRO portfolios $170M spend PA (per year/annual).  Her focus has been to bring alignment with best practices across both teams and to introduce efficiencies and innovation to their daily activities. She actively participates in projects to move procurement to industry leading buying standards.  Yliana started as Latin America Finance Coordinator directing financial and tax reporting in 2003, following 5 years of leading Infineum Finance back office with Ernst & Young.  She became Latin America Finance Manager in 2005 and effectively collaborated on several cross-functional projects that enriched her career. Next she moved to procurement and successfully managed the Latin-America portfolio and achieved full implementation of SAP standard buying practices.

YWCA Union County's Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) Award is a nationally-recognized honor for women. Since creating the TWIN award 35 years ago, the YWCA has honored women in executive, managerial, and other professional roles who have made significant contributions in their fields.  This important award recognizes successful women executives for their outstanding achievements and honors those companies that have provided opportunities for women to achieve their potential.

The TWIN Program benefits YWCA Union County’s programs for victims of domestic violence, such as emergency shelters.  Its TWIN Management Forum (TMF) is a network of TWIN honorees that meets regularly to take part in a variety of programs on career and personal development. TMF attracts diverse and talented members who experience personal and professional enrichment through its networking programs. In addition, this group provides an opportunity to help other women achieve their educational and career goals through the TMF Scholarship Fund.

Johnson & Johnson and its Family of Companies, a long-time supporter of TWIN, is serving as this year’s Host Company. Donna N. Godward, Chief Quality Officer, MD&D, Johnson & Johnson Corporate, is serving as the Honorary Chair for the event.  Suzanne Fiorino, Senior Director, MD&D, Strategy, Analytics and Sustainability, Johnson & Johnson is this year’s Gala Corporate Chair.
