Social Networks Ignore Aberdeen, NJ

Who else is frustrated by the social networks that don't recognize Aberdeen, NJ as a real place. Facebook makes us say that we live in Aberdeen Township as opposed to Aberdeen, yet doesn't impose the township rule on most other NJ localities.

Tripit doesn't recognize Aberdeen at all. However, some sites recognize Strathmore, because it is a registered census location. I live adjacent to the I section, but I don't live in Strathmore.

It's time that Aberdeen gets some respect. How about it social networks?

The problem is that Aberdeen doesn't have its own zip code. Perhaps 07721 should be allocated to Aberdeen instead of Cliffwood? I'm used to geographic purgatory here in Cliffwood Beach, which is in two counties, two townships, and is a census-designated place only in Monmouth County despite being an entity in two counties for years and years. How do you think Old Bridge High School graduates feel when their hometown is listed as Matawan because their school's zip code is Matawan's (07747)? It's a muddle, for sure.
