Boater Safety Classes 

Spring is around the corner and NY/NJ Baykeeper is excited to announce 3 interrelated technical seminars to develop skills needed for planning & improving the safety of a paddle-craft trip.  Instructor Norberto Perez is an approved NJ Boating Safety Instructor. He teaches boating skills and trains US Coast Guard Auxiliary Surface Operations personnel.  All classes will be held at NY/NJ Baykeeper’s office at 52 West Front Street, Keyport, NJ 07735

• Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 7-9 p.m.  Charts, GPS & Basic Calculations
• Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 7-9 p.m.  Tides
• Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 7-9 p.m.  Voyage planning

Cost:  $25 per class or $60 for all three.  Members of Baykeeper get $10 off of the three class package.  The classes are interrelated and attendance at all three is recommended.  Advance registration is required and the classes must have at least 10 people signed up 24 hours in advance.
