Woman Indicted on Aberdeen Home Burglary Charge

Investigators say she was found hiding in a closet when the burglary was interrupted by police

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict Alice Anderson, 50, of Farmingdale on a third degree burglary charge stemming from an alleged home burglary in April in Aberdeen Township.

Wall Township Lt. Walter Pomphrey told Patch in May that Anderson and Charles Hanisch, 44, of Bradley Beach were apprehended while committing a burglary at a residence on Lloyd Road on April 24.

Police, who were conducting surveillance of Hansich, followed the pair to Aberdeen where they found his car parked in the driveway of the home. The front door had been forced open and Hanisch was arrested while he was carrying a television to the front door, Pomphrey said.

Anderson, identified as Hanisch's accomplice, was hiding in a bedroom closet, Pomphrey said.

An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that the charges may be brought to trial.
