Week Ahead: Santa Runs Begin Monday

Make sure you don't miss out on anything in Matawan or Aberdeen this week.

 

Matawan Santa Runs

Santa will be cruising through Matawan each night this week, starting at 6 p.m. Click here for Santa's schedule. 

Monday, Dec. 10

Operation Sleighbells Giving Tree, 10 a.m.

The Hobby Shop will be hosting their annual Giving Tree to benefit Operation Sleighbells, a program under Family and Children's Services of Monmouth County provide gifts for Monmouth County families in need this Holiday Season. Names and gift requests from 50 children are on tags hanging on the Giving Tree. For each gift purchased, The Hobby Shop will donate a gift in kind to Operation Sleighbells.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

MAX Fitness Free Trial, 7 p.m.

MAX Fitness is coming to Matawan and will be offerring free trial classes until the first session begins in January. Reservations are required. 

Aberdeen Zoning Board Meeting, 7:30 p.m.

The Aberdeen Zoning Board will meet on Wednesday at the Aberdeen Township Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public and agendas are available online.

Friday, Dec. 14

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, 4 p.m.

The St. Joseph Council will host a spaghetti fundraiser on Friday in Keyport to raise funds for the relief effort for residents effected by Hurricane Sandy. Dinner will include spaghetti, meatballs, salad, soda, coffee and cake.

Saturday, Dec. 15

Jingle Bell Walk 5K Stroll, 9 a.m.

The Jingle Bell Walk will be held at Colts Neck High School to raise money for those affect by Sandy in Monmouth County. Pre-registration is $20 and day-of registration is $25. Additional donations will be accepted. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the 5K walk begins promptly at 10 a.m.
