Raina
Raina is a gray and white American Pit mix. This ball of energy is a little over a year old. We call her Rai or Rai Rai. She answers to both. Rai has a personality that will keep you laughing. She talks to you when she wants you to pay attention to her. She will sit and lay down for you. She does have the attention span of a gnat, so you have to have patience with her. She is sweet and lovable, but will do best in a home with no other dogs and no children. Cats seem to be just fine. With dogs, she growls a lot and with children, she barks endlessly. There has not been an incident involving a child, but she is not submissive to them. Raina needs an active owner that will take her out for walks, runs and lots of playtime. She is up to date on shots and is spayed. Castle of Dreams

Juliette is a Miniature Pincher mix who was rescued from a shelter in California. She is sweet and loving, as well as up to date on vaccinations and spayed. Juliette heard about the nice people here in New Jersey and is hoping to find her forever home soon.
Jack is an adorable one- or two-year-old Maltese who has no idea why he was sitting in a kill shelter in Tennessee. They wanted to euthanize this little boy by the end of the week, but Castle of Dreams heard about this sweet guy and stepped in. A very good dog, his previous owner indicated he was given up because of separation anxiety. The shelter staff didn't see this in Jack, so it may have just been an excuse to abandon him. Jack's hoping his new home has the patience and love he deserves. Neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and good with other dogs.
Faith is about one and a half and cute as a button. She took a long plane ride from California to land her in New Jersey and she's looking forward to finding a forever home. In California, she was a throw away dog but here in New Jersey she is hoping to find her happily ever after. Spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and house trained.
Leena is an adorable Yorkie that is full of love to give. She wants to be with her personal att the time and is very affectionate. She gets a little quirky around other dogs, but does like them. I think she just really wants all of the attention! She loves car rides, walks, and wearing clothes. We think she is about seven or eight years old, but has the personality of a puppy. She was neglected and rescued from a shelter. Because she can be a little quirky, we would prefer a home without children.

Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue (CODAR) is an Aberdeen-based, non-profit canine rescue group that takes in dogs from high-kill shelters and puppy mills along the east coast and works to find them any necessary medical attention, foster care and a forever home.

This week CODAR has sent Patch eight dogs looking for a permanent, loving home. If you are interested in adopting any of the animals in the slideshow, fill out the application online atwww.castle-of-dreams.com.
