Strathmore PTO and Parent Donate Total of 20 iPads to Elementary School

The Matawan Aberdeen Board of Education officially accepted the donation at their Feb. 25 meeting.

Strathmore Elementary students and teachers now have access to 20 new iPads thanks to the generosity of the Strathmore Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and a Strathmore parent.

The PTO donated 17 iPads with 17 Smart Cases, a total cost of $9,116.03 while Graham Peddell donated three iPads and accessories for a total of $1,200.

The Board of Education formally accepted the donation at their Feb. 25 meeting.

"Because of your donations every homeroom class now has an iPad and is finding interesting and exciting ways to put it to good use in the classroom," Strathmore Principal Kelly Bera said at the meeting.

The donors were then honored with plaques from the school district.
