St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church draped gold and white Papal bunting around the church Thursday morning in honor Pope Francis' election by the conclave. The gold and white bunting is a Catholic tradition that celebrates the election of a new Pope.

Father Dan Swift shared these photos with Patch. Click through the image gallery to get an up close view of the bunting.

" Hopefully, he will be more like Jesus of Galillee and Francis of Assisi and less like a Roman Emperor or Supreme Pontiff."
