Now that the clocks have been moved forward an hour the start of longer days and more sunshine can begin. The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting a week with plenty of sunshine with spring just around the corner.
The sunshine starts today with a high near 57 and just a light wind to cool the temperature down a little. The clear weather is expected to last most of the night with a low near 47 before a chance of showers early Tuesday morning.
Rain should continue to fall for much of the day on Tuesday with a high near 58 degrees. The NWS is predicting our area could see as much as three quarters of an inch of rain before it passes Tuesday night. With the rain gone the temperature is expected to be near a low of 34.
On Wednesday the high temperature is expected to rise back up near 49 for the day before dropping back down near 29 for a partly cloudy night. Thursday and Friday both have similar forecasts with sun and highs in the 40's during the day and clouds and lows near 30 at night.

Adam,
Sorry to tell you, but Daylight Saving Time does absolutely nothing to increase the amount of daylight shining on us. It only causes millions of hours of time-wasting effort to move clocks back and forward twice a year. It also costs the U.S. millions of dollars and has been shown to INCREASE energy use. It also causes additional traffic accidents according to some reports. See my letter to the editor which you can view by searching Patch for "daylight saving is a waste of time." I call it Daylight Stupid Time," and we should get rid of it!
