Police: Man Flashed Gun, Demanded Cash at Aberdeen Raceway Gas Station

The actor fled on foot after the incident, police say.

Aberdeen Township Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a gas station near the intersection of Route 34 and South Atlantic Avenue.

Police say that at about 11 p.m. on March 4 a man entered Raceway and showed a handgun to an employee before demanding cash. He then fled on foot behind TD Bank with an unspecified quantity of cash, according to Police Chief John Powers.

The man is described as being between 5'6'' and 5'8'' with an average build. He was also described as wearing a blue ski mask or scarf over his face and dark clothing.

P.O. Martin Walsh conducted the initial investigation and Hazlet P.O. Kevin Geoghan and his K-9 Diablo assisted.

Sgt. Hank Chevalier is continuing the investigation.

My neighbor owns that gas station. We live in Strathmore Gardens, behind the gas station. My car was stolen the same night. Coincidence? Same guy? Please help us find this crook. My car is a 1993 black civic without hubcaps. The gas station attendants are so frightened and so are we. Please help us get justice! If you have any information on the thief, or have seen my car, call the Aberdeen Police.
