Perth Amboy Men Indicted on Matawan Burglary Charges
Police say the pair took $20,000 worth of property from the home.
A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict two Perth Amboy men on charges they broke into a Matawan residence and stole about $20,000 worth of property from the home.
Investigators say on May 15, Manuel Zapata, 23, and Yeudi Garcia, 21, allegedly entered a home on Annmar Drive in Matawan and stole jewelry and electronic equipment, including a computer, estimated in total to be worth approximately $20,000.
The pair was indicted on two charges, including burglary and theft of movable property.
Both are third degree crimes.
An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that a grand jury found there was enough evidence for a trial.
