The Golden Dragon, located in the strip mall on Broad and Main Streets, Matawan, NJ.
Best "homemade" Chinese food at reasonable prices and the owners/cooks are so cordial and accomdating. They are THE HARDEST workers. It is mostly a take-out restaruant though you can sit there and eat.

LIU'S GARDEN on Bethany in Hazlet. Tried most in Aberdeen, Matawan, Keyport area; Liu's Garden was not too salty, greasy, the place was very clean and when having delivery, comes quickly and the food is hot.

JP restaurant gave me the absolute worst case of food poisoning. It was the fried rice and my doctor said its because of a bacteria in it, I think it bacilla serus, or something like that. Happened for my birthday dinner LAST September (2011) and I still feel the effects of it. Never again. It also happened to a friend. I hope it never happens to you. Enjoy but be safe!!

So far I like No. 1 Chinese. They are quick with their orders and the quality is very consitent. Nothing is stand out amazing but its your typical takeout which is exactly what i want. West Lake on the other hand serves shark fin soup which is why i will never eat there. Its inhumane what they do to those sharks all for a dish that the people who eat it dont even like. Its a pure status thing.
