Readers' Choice: Vote for the Best Bar
Patch readers nominated the best bars in the Matawan and Aberdeen area, so vote to determine which one is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows about the area to participate.
Nominations were accepted on Matawan-Aberdeen Patch through July 9 and include:

- Maloney's Pub & Grill
- The Kat Shack Bar & Grill
- Court Jester Restaurant
- Prime 34
- Bart's
- Brass Rail Bar & Grill
- La Riviera Restaurant Lounge
- Cafe 34 & Bistro
Winners in all Readers' Choice categories will be announced on Aug. 24.

The poll will open to accept votes from registered Patch users starting on July 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 17.

1st choice is McDonagh's -- second I guess would be Kat Shack, its just too loud in there. Can't really carry on a conversation

Kat Shack is definitely #1!! Great food and the best bartenders around. As this is Matawan Aberdeen Patch, McDonoughs should not even be on the list. I also love the new Prime 34.

Maloney's has one of the best selections of beers in the entire state! If you enjoy beer and haven't visited you are missing out.

My first choice is the Court Jester, evn though the Kat Shck is awesome too...but its just too loud!!! The last place I would go for anything is Cafe 34...without a doubt the rudest staff, slow service and a cocky owner!!
