No injuries were reported after an accident in Aberdeen Township closed Church Street between Lloyd Road and Line Road Thursday night.

At about 6:55 p.m., Dhanalaks Balasubramanian, 35, of Parlin was driving on Church Street toward Hazlet when she struck a curb and a utility pole, according to Aberdeen Chief of Police John Powers. The accident caused her 2006 Toyota Sienna to roll onto its roof.

A passerby helped Balasubramanian and two young passengers out of the vehicle. All three were examined at the scene by South Aberdeen EMS, but were uninjured, Powers said.

The accident caused power lines to come down into the roadway. Church Street was closed between Lloyd Road and Line Road until JCP&L arrived on the scene and finished repairing the wires. Police remained on the scene until 5 a.m. to assist in directing traffic around the downed wires.

No summonses have been issued at this time, Powers said.

P.O. Roger Peter was the investigating officer.
