Motorist Killed in Crash at GSP Exit 120

Police say his car left the southbound ramp and struck a tree.

One man is dead after an accident on the southbound ramp at exit 120 on the Garden State Parkway, according to state police.

State police identified the man as Francis Dominach Jr, 79, of Matawan.

The accident happened around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday night. The ramp was closed from about 7:20 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. while officials investigated and cleared the scene.

According to State Police Sgt. Julian Castellanos, Dominach was exiting the parkway when he lost directional control of his 2009 Nissan Sentra, striking a tree on the left side of the ramp.

Dominach was pronounced dead at the scene by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner.

The accident is still under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
