Police say the man assaulted a victim with a come along.
A Monmouth County Grand Jury voted to indict a Matawan man for third degree aggravated assualt, fourth degree unlawful possession of a weapon and third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
According to the indictment, David Cheney, 44, assaulted someone with a come-along in Matawan on July 5, 2011.

The Grand Jury's vote does not determine guilt or innocence, only that charges may be brought against the people named in the indictment.
