Man Accused of Stealing ATM Card, Withdrawing Cash in Keyport
Police say the man was also in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
A Lakewood man was arrested Sunday in Keyport for allegedly stealing an ATM card and using the card to withdrawal cash.
Police say Gerardo Torres Franco, 20, withdrew a total of $300 from the victim's account from an ATM located at Broad Street and West Front Street. According to the complaint warrant, Franco was also found to be in possession of a substance suspected to be cocaine at the time of his arrest.
He is charged with two counts of fourth degree theft and one count of third degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
