Keyport Orders Mandatory Shutdown of All Borough Businesses

All businesses must close as of 2:30 p.m. per Keyport PD.

All businesses in Keyport are being ordered to shut down by 2:30 p.m. on Monday as Hurricane Sandy brings heavy wind and rain to the Bayshore.

This includes shops in the downtown area, as well as larger stores along Route 36 and Route 35 such as Stop & Shop.

A driving ban began at 9 a.m. in the borough. All non-emergency personnel are to stay off the roads unless they are evacuating.

Keyport Police are dealing with multiple wires down on West Front Street in downtown Keyport.
