Holmdel Road Closure This Week
The road will be closed between Roberts Road, near the cemetery, and Route 520, in the Village.

Holmdel Township is advising drivers to be aware that New Jersey Natural Gas and the J.F. Kiely Construction Company will be working on Holmdel Road from Tuesday, October 9 through Friday, October 12.
During this time, Holmdel Road will be closed to through traffic between Roberts Road and Rt. 520. Local residents and businesses will have access from either Roberts Road or Spring Valley Road.
Also, clean up work is continuing; such as, curb repair, landscaping, and eventually paving along the route where the work was done.

With state, county, and municipal road work it is required that plans are filed, detailing how traffic will be detoured, and access to homes and businesses maintained.
We've dealt with residents who were ticketed, simply trying to go home. Don't tolerate such a situation, stand up for your rights should this happen to you. Obey the law, and be courteous to the officer who stops you. However, be sure to quickly document the situation, with photos if possible, to challenge any ticket issued.

Has there been any update as to when this construction might be picked up? I know it rained a few days during the scheduled period, but, nearly two weeks later, the road is still subject to closure each day.
