Signs are popping up along the race route, announcing the third annual Hazlet (NJ) 5K Race to be held on Saturday morning, August 25. The race is sponsored by RAINE and Hazlet Recreation. 

Registration begins at 7 a.m. in the Hazlet Swim Club Parking lot, in Hazlet's Veteran's Park, accesible at 1776 Union Ave. The runners and walkers take off at 8:30 a.m. The event will be held rain or shine. 

Register online for $25 by August 23, or $30 the morning of the race. No credit cards accepted on that day, cash or check only. 

There will be awards given for 1st, 2d and 3rd overall male and female. The top three finishers, male and female in each age category. The categories are: 
 younger than 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

There will be custom t-shirts, refreshments, awards, and giveaways
