Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue (CODAR) is an Aberdeen-based, non-profit canine rescue group that takes in dogs from high-kill shelters and puppy mills along the east coast and works to find them any necessary medical attention, foster care and a forever home.

Mikie

Mikie, a pure bred Bichon Frise, spent his short life as a breeder in a nasty puppy mill. He’s still sweet and loving and looking for a family that will love him forever.

Bumbo 

Bumbo, a Chihuahua mix, is only a year old and already homeless. He came from a high kill shelter in California where small dogs are dumped like yesterday’s news. Bumbo is hoping to find a family that will love his happy personality and give him the good home he so desperately needs. 

Gus

Gus is an older long haired Dachshund who is looking for his forever home. He was rescued from a sanctuary that went out of business. He had some issues with his legs and needed surgery on his patella! We did the surgery and now he gets around just fine, however he doesn't do stairs. He loves to play, loves his toys and gets along great with other dogs.  

Marnie

Meet Marnie, a Chihuahua mix. She is a small, shy little girl who reminds me of a tiny little deer.  She is so good in the house, completely housebroken, and so very sweet. She came from a hoarding situation and when she arrived her little ears were full of bite marks and she was petrified, of people, movement, other dogs. She has come such a long way. Today she snuggles with her foster family and plays with other dogs. She comes up and puts her head on you when she wants attention. She is still very timid around new people and will need some time to adjust to her new surroundings, but once she does will be a very loyal, very loving companion. 

Dime

Dime is an 8-month-old Lab mix who is full of puppy-like energy. He’s active and playful. Dime’s family loved him but had to give him up when they lost their home. Dime is housebroken, vaccinated and ready to find the family that will love him forever.
