Cold and No Power? Get Warm at Strathmore Elementary or Ravine Drive School

Both schools have power and will operate as a warming center Tuesday, Nov. 6 and Wednesday, Nov. 7.

 

Today is forecast to have a high of 46 degrees, leaving area residents who still do not have power in the cold.

Strathmore Elementary School, located at 282 Church Street in Aberdeen, is available as a warming station Tuesday, Nov. 6 and Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Ravine Drive Elementary School, located at 170 Ravine Drive in Matawan, is available as a warming and charging station Tuesday, Nov. 6 and Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Those visiting the warming station may wish to bring a blanket for their own personal comfort.

If the animal is crated, that would be o.k. they said. However just to clarify, this isn't an overnight shelter. It's a warming center and closes at 10 p.m.
