Both Matawan and Aberdeen Offer Emergency Notification Systems

Here's how to sign up with your home phone, cell phone, and/or email

Many Matawan and Aberdeen residents were alerted within hours of the serious water main break in Middletown on Friday by email alerts or phone calls from their local government.

Both municipalities offer emergency notification systems that will call or email residents in case of an emergency. The system can also be used for less urgent issues, such as a disruption of garbage service or road closures.

Here is a link to Aberdeen Township's CodeRED alert system.

Matawan Borough's Swift 911 alert system can be accessed by typing (or copying and pasting) the following URL into your web browser:

For both municipalities, simply fill out the form at the above links and indicate which ways you wish to be notified.

You may unsubscribe from the service at any point by returning to the respective websites and following the instructions there.
