Borough Officials: Local Driving Ban to be Enforced in Matawan Monday Evening

The ban will start at 6 p.m. Monday night and remain in effect until further notice, emergency officials said.

A travel ban will be in effect throughout Matawan as of 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, according to an alert issued by the Matawan Office of Emergency Management.

The ban will be enforced on all Matawan streets until further notice. At that time, residents are asked to stay sheltered inside their homes.

Residents are also asked to stay in contact with family and neighbors. If a resident decides to relocate, emergency officials ask that they notify a family member or neighbor.
