Whatever snow is left on the ground after Friday night's storm should be washed away by the end of today according to the National Weather Service.
With a high near 51 most of the rainfall across our area should be done before the evening rush hour but we could get close to half an inch of rain according to the latest forecasts.
The rain could continue into tonight but not much precipitation is expected with a low of 37 degrees and eventually making for a clear night.
The clouds are expected to largely stay away on Tuesday with a mostly sunny day and a high temperature of 45 degrees before dropping to a low of 27 on Tuesday night.
Wednesday looks to be a mostly cloudy day with a high of 41. As of Sunday afternoon the National Weather Service is reporting at least a 50 percent chance of snow on Wednesday night with a low temperature of 30 degrees expected.
The forecast for Thursday calls for a high near 43 and a low of 30 with a similar forecast to end the week on Friday

I hope it does not snow on Saturday, February 16th. Rare Find Nursery in Jackson, NJ is having a Witch Hazel Festival that day that was rescheduled from February 9th due to the snow storm. The cost is $5 but you have to register in advance. The fee includes a seminar and light refreshments. They will be selling many different varieties of witch hazel shrubs in addition to hellebores, hardy cyclamen and other plants. As of this afternoon, there was still space available for the 1 pm session. These are hardy plants that bloom in the winter or early spring. They will be in bloom during the festival so you can see what they look like before you buy them.Rare Find Nursery has been around for many years. However I only found out about them last year through a friend who went to the Witch Hazel Festival. I subsequently attended their camellia seminar in March, followed by their azalea and rhododendron seminars. After that, I did a bog garden of pitcher plants in July---and I was hooked.
