Aberdeen Teen and Shrewsbury Teen Indicted on Robbery, Assault Charges
Police say the two teens used violence to rob the victim in Red Bank
Two eighteen-year-olds were indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury Wednesday on robbery and assault charges stemming from a May 26, 2012 incident in Red Bank.
Police say that Leo Conaghan, of Aberdeen, and Jeff Daiker, of Shrewsbury, allegedly assaulted a person while robbing that person in Red Bank. Conaghan then allegedly attempted to destroy a stolen iPod so it could not be used as evidence by investigators.
Conaghan and Daiker are charged with second degree robbery and third degree aggravated assault. Conaghan is also charged with fourth degree tampering with physical evidence.
An indictment does not indicate a conviction, only that the charges may be brought to trial.
