‘SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY’ CONCERT MARKS VALENTINE’S DAY

MATAWAN - A special Valentine’s Day celebration concert by Oasis Players will be presented on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at 4:00 p.m., at the First

Presbyterian Church of Matawan, 883 Highway 34, Matawan.

Vocalists from Oasis Players return to First Presbyterian for their third season, this time taking listeners on a musical tour around the world. Accompanied by keyboard and percussion, the Players will combine the best of Broadway songs, movie music, and concert standards for an entertaining and unforgettable program.

“The Matawan performance offers a perfect way for young and old alike to get together, have fun and celebrate the season,” said Dr. E. Graham McKinley, the church’s director of worship arts, who runs the concert series.

The concert will be held in First Presbyterian’s spacious Fellowship Hall, where the audience will sit at tables, cabaret-style, and help themselves to complimentary Valentine’s Day treats while enjoying the concert. Attendees are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable foods to help supply our local food pantry.

Tickets in advance are $10 for adults, $5 for children and seniors. Prices are $5 higher at the door.
