Local Yoga studio in Matawan raises over $500 for the animals

Matawan, N.J. December 29, 2012 — The Yoga Suite in Matawan held a benefit on December 8th and raised over $500 and donations for a non-profit animal rescue group, Rescue Ridge.

This benefit featured three 45-minute sessions of yoga with Yoga Suite instructors Pat Hudacsko, Francine Botti, and Lisa Maccone. Among the participants of the yoga benefit was Karen Browne, a Rescue Ridge Volunteer.

“The experience was wonderful. I enjoyed participating in the Yoga classes and meeting new people. The money will be used for a new shelter for the Rescue Ridge felines. Thanks to everyone who helped organize the event and to the people who attended,” Browne said.

Rescue Ridge is a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue group. Because Rescue Ridge is an all-volunteer group, every cent raised is spent for the welfare of their charges. Founded in 2001, the Rescue Ridge rescues hundreds of dogs and cats every year.
