County Seeking Employers For Sept. 21 Job Fair

Monmouth County will again offer employers and jobseekers the opportunity to connect at the Monmouth County Job Fair scheduled for Friday, Sept. 21. The event is free for employers to reserve a table and for jobseekers to attend.

The 2012 Monmouth County Job Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Monmouth County Police Academy, 2000 Kozloski Rd. in Freehold.

Last year’s job fair attracted more than 100 employers and an estimated 1,200 jobseekers. This year, employers in categories such as healthcare, government, retail, security, technology, manufacturing and sales are expected to attend.

“Only employers who have immediate job openings will be invited to participate in the 2011 Monmouth County Job Fair,” said Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone, liaison for the Monmouth County Department of Workforce Development. “This will improve the chances that jobseekers will find employment.”

Employers interested in participating are asked to contact Larry Sternbach at 732-683-8850 ext. 3711 or email him at lawrence.sternbach@dol.state.nj.us. Or, contact Jay Staiger at 732 683-8850 x4011 or email jason.staiger@dol.state.nj.us. There is no cost for employers to reserve a table.

The 2012 Monmouth County Job Fair is a partnership of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Monmouth County Workforce Investment Board, Monmouth County Department of Workforce Development, New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Monmouth-Ocean Development Council, Jersey Shore Association of Human Resources, and Brookdale Community College.
