Aberdeen Township Teams Up with Matwan HS For Slogan Contest
Aberdeen Township is teaming up with students at Matawan Regional High School to create the township’s first-ever slogan.
The contest, conducted in cooperation with the Matawan Regional School District, is open to all MRHS students living in Aberdeen or Matawan. Students will be asked to create a slogan that captures the heart and soul of the community using between two and six words.
Prizes will be awarded for first place and two honorary mentions. The first place winner will receive a Visa Gift Card in the amount of $100 and each honorable mention recipient will receive a Visa Gift Card in the amount of $50.
Entries must be submitted to the principal by the end of the school day on June 1. The school will submit them to the Township for judging. Winners will be announced at the June 19 Council meeting at Town Hall. Slogans will be judged by a committee consisting of members of the Aberdeen Township Council and Aberdeen Business Council. All submissions will be entered anonymously, with students using their school district identification number.
